Incredible
party and concert
Ever since many weeks and months fans had been waiting for this particular day.
The long – awaited Thomas Anders Fanclubparty took place in Koblenz at January 8th 2005.
The event took place in the “Moseltanzpalast” in Koblenz – Guels, not only a cosy place full of athmosphere, but also the place where Thomas performed live on stage for the first time in his life 32 years
ago. His fee at that time was simply a chocolate bar and a handful
crisps. Thomas had promised us something very special, next to the party he also wanted to give a concert for us.
The location was openend at approximately 12:00 hours. In the lobby of the concert hall different things like fan – calenders, photographs of Thomas, key – holders, CD’s and T – Shirts were
offered. At one side of the concert hall Guido had equipped a small photo studio, so every fan had the opportunity to be taken on a photo together with Thomas.
The party began a little delayed at 15:15 hours. Thomas, in high spirit, welcomed all his fans and they gave
him a roaring applause in return. After a couple of words concerning his work during the last year, fans could ask him questions.Thomas also answered questions which were sent to him before the party.
In between the questions Thomas performed “Just dream” and “King of Love”, just two warm - up songs before the great concert of the
evening. The lottery was very funny, as well. Thomas had chosen six year old Jessica from Berlin to be “Fortuna”. She was so excited then, that she was hardly able to express a single word, however she made the winners of the prices very
lucky. At the end of the lottery the webteam provided a really big surprise to Thomas.
For the presentation of “Countdown Eurovision” he was nominated for the “Bambi”.
Unfortunately he didn’t got a “Bambi” at the end. That was the reason why the members of the webteam decided to present to him a “Fanbambi 2004” on behalf of all his fans. Due to his response he definetely was as luckky to get our “Fanbambi” instead of the real “Bambi”.
At 18:00 hours the party was over. Thomas took his well – earned break and we enjoyed the hospitality of the “Moseltanzpalast” also taking a break in the fresh air of the scenic environment.
Right in time the concert started at 20:30 hours. Nobody remained sitting and the entire crowd cheered enthusiastically when Thomas and his band entered the stage:
Lars on guitar, Rob on bass, Nick
at the drums and Bernd and Achim at the piano.
Tammy supported Thomas as his background vocalist. Thomas moved between two stages, on the one stage was the band and on the other stage Thomas performed his ballads assisted by Achim on the piano.
All the songs were performed absolutely live and all the musicians of the band were doing a great job playing their instruments with virtuosity and
perfection. The concert lasted for more than 2,5 hours and everybody in the audience was absolutely sure to have
witnessed something very unique; an event for a lifetime.
Our thanks goes to all of them who have organized the party as well as the concert:
Guido Karp and his staff, Thomas, his wife Claudia, the members of the band and the staff of the “Moseltanzpalast”........
You were absolutely doing a great job !!!!!! Now we are hoping we shall have further terrific events in the future.
